Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player secured his initial trophy for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from March of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has won 21 championships at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular outbursts on court had led observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early chances in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
